Biography

Drawing from a rich family racing legacy, this skilled desert racer has established himself as a formidable competitor in the SCORE Lites division, representing the proud racing heritage of Hermosillo, Sonora. His impressive performance at the 2017 SCORE Baja 1000 exemplifies his tenacious approach to desert racing, where he and his experienced team battled through over 1,200 miles of Baja's most challenging terrain to secure a hard-fought fifth-place finish in the SCORE Lites class.

Racing alongside his father Miguel Bonilla and seasoned co-drivers Fernando Mayoral and Mario Vargas, Valenzuela demonstrates the collaborative spirit that defines successful desert racing teams. Their Jimco chassis proved reliable through the punishing desert conditions, showcasing both his mechanical preparation and driving skills across the grueling 43-hour and 55-minute race duration.

The young racer's dedication to the sport reflects the deep-rooted racing culture of northwestern Mexico, where multi-generational teams continue to push the boundaries of desert racing excellence. His commitment to competing in one of motorsport's most demanding disciplines, combined with his family's racing wisdom, positions him as a rising force in SCORE International competition, carrying forward the proud tradition of Mexican desert racing prowess.
